Young Queen of Hearts Lucy O’Toole (aged 6), joined the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Oisín Quinn and children’s TV presenter Diana Bunici to launch this year’s Happy Hearts Appeal on behalf of the Irish Heart Foundation supported by SuperValu. The Happy Hearts Appeal is celebrating its 25th year of fundraising to fight heart disease and stroke and it starts, 15th May running until Saturday, 17th May. Over the three days, more than 3,000 volunteers together with SuperValu stores, will be selling happy heart badges for €2 to raise funds to save lives from sudden cardiac arrest and help the Irish Heart Foundation reach it’s €500,000 target to deliver a new national CPR education campaign later this autumn. www.happyhearts.ie Picture Andres Poveda
