Repro Free: 08/11/2012 .Pictured speaking at the Youth Advocate Programmes (YAP) Ireland 10th birthday celebration is Steven McCarthy (17) who availed of the YAP Ireland community based intensive support programme. The programme is provided for young people aged 10 -18 at high risk of placement in care, secure care and custody. The service is offered in 16 counties across the country in partnership with the HSE and has provided the intensive support programme to 462 young people between January 2011 and June 2012 and is now expanding to deliver the programme for young people with autism.
