Repro Free: 01/10/2014 Carton House, one of Ireland’s most luxurious resorts, tonight launched an exclusive exhibition titled Vanishing Art. Running from October 1st through to December 24th, the exhibition is set to be a highlight of the Irish cultural calendar with hundreds of artworks on display throughout the resort’s magnificent grounds and within the historic mansion itself.
Some of Ireland’s most acclaimed artists will showcase their artworks at the outdoor exhibition including Patrick O’Reilly, Eoghan McGrath, Ann Meldon Hugh and Ger Breslin.
A €5,000 Euro sculpture prize, was awarded by a panel of judges to Ann Meldon Hugh from Kells Co Meath pictured with her sculpture in the grounds of Carton House. Picture Andres Poveda
Attending the official launch evening were actress Aoibhín Garrihy, RTE weather girl Nuala Carey, Ruth Ferguson, Curator of Art at UCD and various members of the Irish rugby team.
