The Development Plan outlines the organisation’s strategic vision for the future of golf in Ireland.
The CGI will work in partnership with Irish golf clubs to help them broaden their membership base by offering services, training, education and promotional initiatives, such as ‘Get into Golf’ and ‘Get Back into Golf’ programmes, which will introduce new participants to the game and encourage others who have left the sport to return.
A not-for-profit body, the CGI was created last year by the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI), the Irish Ladies Golf Union (ILGU) and the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) to complement the work of the three associations in advancing the sport of golf in Ireland. Picture Andres Poveda
