Braiden and Emily were born with a congenital heart defects but are now a healthy children with thanks to the work of Heart Children Ireland.
A giant heart will be erected on Dublin’s O’ Connell Street this St. Valentine’s Day, Friday 14 February, as part of an innovative fundraising initiative for the charity. The eye catching perspex heart will be located on the corner of North Earl Street and O’ Connell Street between 9am and 6pm that day and passers-by will be asked to make a donation and watch the heart fill up with contributions throughout the day.
The initiative is part of Heart Children’s Ireland annual windmill fundraising campaign and the charity is hoping to raise €50,000 from the various activities taking place nationwide over St. Valentine’s weekend.
All funds raised will go towards supporting parents and families of children born with a Congenital Heart Defect. Heart Children Ireland’s mission is “to enable all children born with CHD live the best possible lives”. Fill the heart and help Heart children Ireland reach their target!
Heart Children Ireland is a voluntary non-Government funded organisation that provides a support mechanism for those affected by or living with congenital heart defects. A congenital heart defect is a defect in the structure of the heart and blood vessels which is present at birth.
