Paul Purcell (left) from Beaumont is pictured with Irish comedians Eric Lalor and PJ Gallagher and fellow biker Philip Carey from Castleknock as they prepair to join over 60 motorcyclists from all over Ireland and depart on September 21st from Dublin for Chicago where they will begin their 2,444 mile journey across America, riding up Sunset Boulevard 12 days later. Now, in its 7th year, Irish comedians PJ Gallagher and Joe.ie writer Eric Lalor will leather up and take on the mother of all mother roads to help this group raise over €250,000 for sick kids in Ireland. This is a bi-annual trip and it has been running since 2002. It sees Temple Street’s big-hearted bikers travel through 9 states and 4 different time zones; from Illinois through Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and finally California. As they ride this wonderful road, always on their minds are the brave little patients in Temple Street that urgently need the best possible care that can be given to them. Picture Andres Poveda
