The We Can Quit programme was created as a community based approach to support smoking cessation among women in areas with high smoking rates.
Developed by the Irish Cancer Society, in partnership with the National Women’s Council of Ireland, the Institute of Public Health Ireland, the HSE and local development organisations, the first programme was rolled out in Blachardstown and the Northside Area Partnership in January 2014. The results of the research study which was conducted by Stirling University in Scotland will be revealed at the event. Picture Andres Poveda
