Pictured at the Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA) Annual Conference which took place in Dublin today were Jeff Longhurst, CEO of the ABFA, John Humphrys, prominent BBC journalist and moderator of the ABFA Conference and Deirdre Moore, Chairperson of ABFA Ireland and Head of AIB Commercial Finance Limited.
Approximately 250 delegates from the UK and Ireland attended the event and heard that sales turnover generated by nearly 2,000 Irish companies using Invoice Finance reached €25.9bn in 2015, up two per cent on the same figure for 2014.
This is the highest annual sales turnover figure registered for Irish companies using Invoice Finance since statistics for Ireland were first collated by the ABFA in 2002 and this growth in the Irish marketplace demonstrates just how much Invoice Finance has supported Irish firms with vital working capital to fund their business during the recent economic recovery.
The ABFA Annual Conference also heard how an average of €1.3bn in Invoice Finance was in use by Irish companies at any one time during 2015, up three per cent on the same figure for 2014. Picture Andres Poveda
